LIGHT & MOTION STELLA 120
The latest lamp from Light & Motion is a no-nonsense, compact unit weighing under 200g and with a claimed run time of two hours. In fact, we were getting over three hours out of a full 10-hour charge, which was a pleasant surprise.
The unit is handlebar or helmet mounted and puts out 120 lumens courtesy of the four-cell rechargeable Ni-Mh battery pack combined and custom-engineered reflector.
As a single front lamp it did not throw enough of a beam to inspire confidence at speed in dark lanes, but in town it was adequate.
The 120's big brother, the Stella 200L, with a five-hour run time and 200 lumens, is worth the extra £80 in our eyes. IC
