CYCLE 2008: FOCUS TIME TRIAL BIKE

Focus Izalco Chrono Cycle 2008

Cycling Weekly is at the Cycle 2008 show at Earls Court, London, to bring you photos and info on the latest and most interesting bikes and kit.

Wiggle had what is sure to be very popular with triathletes and time triallists. Previously only seen being ridden by those patient enough to deal with the waiting list or by riders such as Nicole Cooke and the Gerolsteiner team, Walser low profile bikes were once a rare sight.

The complete Focus/Walser Izalco Chrono low pro retails for £3,999 as shown here. That's around £50 more than the new Cervelo P4 frame! Considering the Gerolsteiner team rode these rather than the Specialized Transition, we can only assume that these are pretty special. We expect to see a growing number of these littering lay-bys around the country at six in the morning when the time trial season starts.
