MEET NICOLE COOKE

British rider Nicole Cooke wrote herself into the history books this year by becoming the first woman to win the Olympic road race gold medal and world championship in the same year.

Cooke has decided to share her extensive knowledge and experience of cycling in her new book, Cycle for Life, and she'll be appearing at Bikehut cycle store in St Paul's, London, on Wednesday October 15 to sign copies.

Cycle for Life is aimed at novice riders and more experienced cyclists alike, and includes tips and advice on commuting, racing and cycling for fun.

The Halfords Bikehut and Team GB rider has now won pretty much everything that there is to win in women's cycling, and has set her place as one of Britain's most successful cyclists in the sport's history - and she is still only 25 years old.

Nicole Cooke will be at Bikehut, St Paul's, London, on Wednesday, October 15, from 12.15 to 1.15pm. Bikehut is situated on Ave Maria Lane, off Ludgate Hill.
